Welsh Dad Auctions Himself for £8,300

A dad from Pontypridd has auctioned himself on eBay in order to buy his daughters Christmas presents.

Dave Robinson, 36, put himself up for offer on the auction site after being made unemployed in September and only receiving two replies from over 1,000 job applications.

Showing a decent slice of initiative, he offered himself up for work in an eBay listing, initially being sold for £10.50 to a company who were making an online TV show.

His second auction was pulled from the site at just over £1,000 by concerned officials who then relented and allowed the latest auction to run to £8,300. Dave is still to find out what his next task will be but has vowed to spend his money on Christmas gifts for his girls, aged 11 and 1.
