Dad's Amazing Trick to get Baby to Sleep

An Australian dad’s video, showing him sending his son to sleep in less than a minute by stroking his face with paper, has gone viral. Sydney resident Nathan Dailo manages to get three month-old Seth to drift off in just 42 seconds using the tissue paper in a move that will bewilder and bemuse shattered parents around the world.

Nearly four million people have viewed the clip, many presumably at the end of their tether and hoping for tips. Some commentators on the YouTube page have thanked Dailo for his suggestion, claiming to have also found success with the method.

  1. Sing and bounce is what it’s all about. I’ve got into singing ‘Tommy Thumb’ but incredibly slowly, in the most monotonous voice possible, whilst gently patting him. I can tell if it’s not working and he’s wide awake as he starts patting me back!
