We took two trips to Halifax, quite a few months apart, which is why Elsa looks tiny one minute and really grown-up the next! Seth came along on our second visit too (he wasn’t born the first time) and we explored what makes this West Yorkshire town so family friendly. Take a look at our video:
Halifax Family Activities
Firstly, the fact that Halifax has its own children’s museum should be enough to ensure its family friendly status. Eureka! is brilliant – a proper full day out and, if you pay once, you get to go for free for the next 12 months. There’s so much to do for children of all ages, not to mention for mums and dads too.
The Piece Hall is a great place to hang out. It looks beautiful and there are all sorts of interesting shops and cafes to explore, as well as a cracking water feature that’s fun to play in on a warm day.
We also visited the Mill Cafe on Shay Lane, where we were made very welcome by a team who are passionate about looking after families and serving local Yorkshire fare.
