Bewildered Family Guide to Yorkshire – Leeds

Here’s what happened when Elsa, Seth and I headed into Leeds, known to some as the capital of Yorkshire, although that is a subject of some controversy.

Take a look at previous destinations at the Bewildered Family Guide to Yorkshire page.

Leeds Family Tourist Attractions

We headed to the Royal Armouries, which holds a surprisingly large amount of arms, the Tetley art gallery, the Abbey House Museum in Kirkstall and the brilliant Hyde Park Picture House. There’s so much variety in Leeds and it truly is a family friendly city. Clearly we couldn’t cover EVERYWHERE, but I reckon this is a good flavour of what it has to offer.

I went to university in Leeds and I’ve always loved it. I couldn’t wait to show my children and, although they might not appreciate all of my favourite haunts just yet, there’s something electric about the atmosphere of Leeds that I wanted to share. We only live 20 minutes away on the train and will certainly be visiting more often.
