Rejoice, because finally something is on the way to save you from constant viewings of Frozen; be fearful because that saviour is the (very) long-awaited sequel. Don’t start camping outside your local Gaumont yet, though, Disney has confirmed that Frozen 2 will be released on the 22nd November 2019. Yes, 2019. To put that in context, here’s the official countdown:
I have a long and checkered history with the tale of Queen Elsa, Princess Anna (her of the mispronounced name), Sven, Olaf and all the rest, as I have blogged about at length. However, it does bring my daughter Elsa untold joy and, begrudgingly, I have to admit it’s actually a very well made film with some particularly catchy songs.
Yes, I can confirm I am a victim of Disney-tinged Stockholm Syndrome.
By the way, if you raised an eyebrow when you read that my daughter was called Elsa, you really need to click that link a few lines up. EVERYTHING is explained.
Hey, I even made it through a performance of Singalong-a-Frozen and my only complaint was that there wasn’t enough singalong-ing.
So, yes, come November 22nd 2019 we’ll probably have to make repeated trips to the cinema, we’ll be urged to download it as soon as it is released on iTunes and it will soundtrack every Sunday afternoon and car journey from then on but, I tell you what, it will be a great bargaining chip for getting her to eat vegetables for the next two-and-a-half years. Win/win.
