Episode 1: Bewildered Dad’s Yorkshire Radio Show

The first episode of Bewildered Dad’s Yorkshire Radio Show is here. It’s an hour of quality tunes by singers and bands from Yorkshire, based in Yorkshire or with some Yorkshire connection.

Listen now to the show

In the first episode, you’ll hear Self Esteem from Rotherham, Leeds band Yard Act, Sheffield‘s Richard Hawley and a singer who was born in Lancashire, but came to live in Harrogate then Horsforth from the age of four. So he counts. He definitely counts.

There’s new music from Hull’s Yasmin Coe and Bingley’s premier rapper Wilko Wilkes, plus loads more.

Aside from the music, find out what the big controversy is with the BBC’s Leeds-based drama Better and why I was delighted to get on the grumpy side of a South Yorkshire legend.

This episode was recorded before the sad news about Steve Mackey of Pulp. I’ll pay tribute to him next week.
