Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge – Training Guide From Kids

I’m taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge and the kids thought I needed some exercise before I take on the biggest mountains in Yorkshire. Whernside, Ingleborough and Pen-y-ghent are collectively known as the Three Peaks and you’re meant to be able to walk up and down them all in 12 hours. Here’s how they’ve helped me out:

I’m going to give it a go for a brilliant charity, so I’m undertaking this silly hike. Full video to follow if/when I achieve it.

Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge: Stillbirth Charity

Here’s the story of the charity: Ben and Gaynor’s daughter Kallipateira was stillborn and they went through a horrible ordeal as they grieved in the hospital, hearing the happy new parents all around them. Rather than getting angry with the world (they would have every right) they have decided to channel the pain into making a difference for people in their position in the future. To help set up a proper bereavement suite at Calderdale Royal.

Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge - Sponsor

I’m joining them for the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge to help them raise some cash. I think they are amazing and I hope you do too. Help me out with a few quid, would you? Thank you! Here’s a thing I wrote about them for Northern Life.
